Who we are
My Mortgage Report is a trading style of My Financial Services Group Limited (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and through instructions for mortgage capacity reports.

What we collect
From an enquiry: your name, firm (if any), email, telephone, the type of report, deadlines, and the details you choose to send us.
From an instruction: the information on our data-capture form. That typically includes identity and contact details, date of birth, address, nationality and residency, employment and income, credit commitments, property details, maintenance, and information about dependents. We also receive supporting documents such as payslips, tax computations and company accounts.
This will often include information about a former spouse or partner and about children, where that is necessary to assess capacity. We only use what is required for the report you have instructed.
Why we use it
To respond to enquiries and to perform a contract — preparing the report you have instructed.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as an FCA-authorised firm, including record-keeping and complaints handling.
Where necessary, for our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Who we share it with
The instructing solicitor, and the subject of the report, as required to deliver the work. A joint instruction still produces a separate assessment for each party.
Professional service providers who support our practice (for example secure email or IT), under appropriate contracts.
Website enquiries are sent to us by Web3Forms, which processes the form on our behalf so that the details arrive in our inbox. Their servers are in the United States. We only send the information you enter on the enquiry form.
Regulators, courts or other parties where we are required by law to do so.
We do not sell personal information. Preparing a capacity report does not, by itself, mean we submit a mortgage application to a lender.
How long we keep it
We keep instruction files for as long as required for our regulatory record-keeping and to deal with queries or complaints, and then delete or anonymise them. Enquiry emails that do not proceed to an instruction are kept only as long as needed to complete the correspondence.
Your rights
You have the right to access personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask for erasure or restriction in certain cases, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
If you are instructing on behalf of a client, you remain responsible for making sure the client knows their information will be sent to us for this purpose.
